Welcome to Creative Playrooms Solon, where every child’s day is filled with learning and glee. Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to encourage exploration and help children build confidence as they grow.
Located in the heart of the Solon community, our center offers high-quality early education programs led by caring, experienced teachers who make learning both meaningful and fun.
Join us at our shared location with Solon Academy, a tuition-free public charter school serving students from early kindergarten through 2nd grade.

Montessori Program
Our Montessori program is built on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, who believed that education should nurture the love of learning and honor every child’s unique rhythm of growth. This approach recognizes that children develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally when given the freedom to explore within clear, supportive boundaries.
At Creative Playrooms Solon, each Montessori classroom for children ages two to six is designed to inspire independence. Children are guided, not instructed, by teachers who help them select developmentally appropriate materials that promote problem-solving, organization, and self-assurance.
By encouraging self-directed learning, our Montessori program allows children to unlock their own abilities and experience the joy of mastering new skills. It’s a philosophy that helps every child become a confident, capable, and compassionate learner.
Free Preschool & Pre-K Programs
Our trusted Preschool and Pre-K programs are available tuition-free for eligible families, offering a warm, safe environment where children learn, grow, and build real-world readiness. Free sessions run four days a week from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM, giving children a consistent routine and families a dependable schedule.
Who Is Eligible
In partnership with Cuyahoga County and ODOE, our free program option is open to Ohio children ages 3 and 4 whose families meet certain guidelines. Children participate in the same high-quality classrooms, with individualized support to reach social, physical, cognitive, and emotional milestones before kindergarten.

Enrichment Activities
We believe every child deserves a variety of ways to learn and succeed.
Our extracurricular enrichment activities are offered outside of the regular program schedule and are unique to each location. They help children develop creativity, coordination, and confidence while keeping every week full of fun.

Northcoast Ballet
Northcoast Ballet brings the dance studio to our classrooms with a mobile program that teaches ballet and creative movement. Children build balance, rhythm, and flexibility while developing confidence and self-expression. Each class blends music and movement to make every moment exhilarating and engaging.
Swimming
Our swimming program teaches water safety and swimming skills in a pool designed especially for young children. Lessons are led by certified instructors, combining guided practice and free swim time. Beyond coordination and strength, children gain courage and a sense of accomplishment as they progress at their own pace. Parental permission is required for participation.
Community & Classroom Fun
Learning at Creative Playrooms Solon extends far beyond the classroom. Through themed celebrations, hands-on activities, and community engagement, we make every season special and meaningful for our students.
Classroom Parties
From Valentine’s Day to St. Patrick’s Day and Halloween, we bring holidays to life through crafts, games, and connection.
Special Attire Days
From Wacky Hair Day to Rodeo Week, we make learning fun with themed dress-up days tied to events, holidays, and weekly lessons.
Fun Within the Community
Through special visits from community helpers and local professionals, children get to learn about the world around them.
These experiences help children connect what they learn in class to the world around them, building confidence and compassion with every adventure.
NEW! Exploration Preschool at Creative Playrooms Solon
Creative Playrooms Solon is proud to offer Exploration Preschool, a 2.5-hour program for 3- and 4-year-olds that builds kindergarten readiness through creativity, collaboration, and discovery. Morning and afternoon sessions make family routines easier while helping your child grow in confidence and essential skills.
Our experienced teachers guide small groups in a warm, play-based setting that supports social, emotional, and academic growth.
